Position Summary The Zeltner Lab (https://zeltnerlab.uga.edu) at the University of Georgia's Center for Molecular Medicine (CMM) is seeking a creative, motivated, hard-working and enthusiastic non-tenure track research scientist to drive multiple research projects supported by NIH/NINDS/NICHD. The Zeltner lab focuses on employing human pluripotent stem cells to model diseases of the peripheral nervous system and the adrenal gland. There are several multidisciplinary projects with enormous training opportunities in stem cell biology, neuroscience, adrenal gland biology and human disease modeling. These projects encompass multiple collaborations across the US. The successful candidate will directly be assisting the PI in running the lab in multiple aspects. There are various career development opportunities available to the candidate, including a potential biotech start-up co-appointment. The University of Georgia offers a highly collaborative, top-notch training and research environment in biomedical sciences. The Center for Molecular Medicine is striving to become a leader in biomedical research, with a goal to understand the molecular and cellular basis of human disease and use this information for the development of new therapies, cures and diagnostics. This position is NIH funded, and competitive salary and benefits are available and will be commensurate with experience, plus benefits. Additional Requirements Postdoc training in biological/life sciences is required. Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification Background with cell culture and molecular biology techniques is needed and expertise with stem cells is deeply valued.
